About our Curriculum

Roberts McCubbin Primary School provides a comprehensive curriculum which promotes the development of knowledge, skills, understanding and values.

Inquiry Learning

Roberts McCubbin staff have been working for a number of years with University of Melbourne educational consultant, Kath Murdoch in order to plan for and implement rich and engaging units of inquiry for our students. Inquiry learning allows children to make choices, to develop higher order thinking skills, to negotiate the paths they might follow in any unit of inquiry which in turn gives their learning purpose and results in them taking more responsibility for their own learning.
